ABSTRACT:
Roots of olive (Oleae europaea L. cv Zard) inoculated with the root knot nematode,Meloidogyne javanica were examined by removing developing galls from 72 h to 4 weeks and cryofractured for scanning electron microscope observations. The results illustrated structural details concerning the root penetration, feeding, syncytial differentiation and nematode developmental stages (J2 to females) within the root tissues.
