ABSTRACT:
The effects of four plant extracts, namely neem, marigold, ashwagandha and eucalyptus on the yield and nematode population associated with mango trees in the field were examined. Neem and eucalyptus were fount to be most effective in the control of Hemicriconemoides mangiferae, Hoplolaimus pseudorobusrtus and Helicotylenchus indicus populations. Despite marked reduction in nematode population, the yield of mango remained uninfluenced by the phytonematicides.
