ABSTRACT:

A survey was conducted during July and August, 2002 to identify plant parasitic nematodes associated with date-palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) in Lasbela District. A total of six nematode species viz.,Helicotylenchus indicus, H. multicinctus, Tylenchorhynchus brasicae, Meloidogyne incognita, Pratylenchus thornei and P. penetrans were recorded. The similarly between localities based on qualitative (presence/absence) nematode data was calculated on the basis of Jaccard’s coefficient of similarity. The dendograms derived from hierarchical agglomerative clustering of twelve locations of Lasbela district showed basically two large groups.
