ABSTRACT:
A survey of Hyderabad, Sindh was conducted in May, 2008. A plant species, Anagallis arvensis L. (Primulaceae), was examined for root-knot nematode. Moderate galling on the roots was found (Fig.1). Under stereomicroscope mature females were dissected from infested roots and perineal patterns were prepared, similar to M. javanica, reported by Taylor & Sasser (1978). Anagallis arvensis L., is a new record of M. javanica from Pakistan (Maqbool & Shahina 2001; Musarrat et al., 2007). The specimens were deposited in the nematode collection of National Nematological Research Centre, University of Karachi, Karachi, Pakistan
