ABSTRACT:

An attempt was made to ascertain the virulence spectrum of Pakistani population of Potato Cyst Nematode (PCN) Globodera pallida and G. rostochiensis. It was observed that all the populations belong toG. rostochiensis (Ro1) with certain differences in their rate of multiplication possibly attributing to environmental conditions. The results indicate that with some caution management can be done through use of resistant cultivars having H1 resistance.
